Our Beginners class is specifically designed for beginners who have never been exposed to CrossFit before. Because CrossFit is performed at a high intensity, it is important that you first learn the fundamentals of CrossFit and the importance of proper form in order to perform the movements correctly and safely.
Once you have completed your Beginners class you will be ready for your first class. Not everyone will need the Beginners class, your assessment by one of our coaches will determine what is best for you.
No need to bring your game face to every workout. You can be as competitive as you want to be—or not. While it may seem like you’re going up against your classmates, the only person you need to beat is yourself. So whatever is holding you back, drop it and pick up a kettlebell instead.
CrossFit workouts can be modified for any fitness level.
The needs of an Olympic athlete and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. One is looking for functional dominance, the other for functional competence. Competence and dominance manifest through identical physiological mechanisms. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
“Beginner athletes should aim for a number of reps that will be as challenging for them as the prescribed workout would be for an intermediate athlete.”
